1.1 Button Event not being recognized

I make a test page: test.aspx
i put one button on the page
i compile
i access the web server by Http://servername
click button, event fires and "testing button not working" appears on
the page

i access the web server by http:// hostheadername
click button, nothing happens

what the heck is going on
