[1.9] trunk is failing to build on OS X 10.4

Hello, since yesterday or the day before, trunk/1.9 fails to build with
the following error:

(ruby is from macports at 1.9.6_p111), trunk is at revision 15885, gcc
4.2 is used, OS X 10.4.11.

I suspect r15871 being the culprit.
