A POP3 tutorial?

Hi

I would like to write my own anti-spam filter (for Windows 98) but I've no
idea how you intercept the incoming POP3 stream. Can anyone recommend a
book (or webpage) that could get me started?

Thanks (and happy New Year).

Well, well, well! It seems we have a comedian in our midst!

I'd stick to programming if I were you.

His answer was on-target and nicer than you should have expected.

This newsgroup has a specific purpose. Were you to have perused it a
bit (standard Usenet etiquette), you would have realized it was not
the appropriate place for your question.

I still have some holiday spirit, so here are some Usenet newsgroups
where your question would be more on-topic:

comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.win32
microsoft.public.win32.programmer.* (there are several possibilities
there).

Whose answer? Whoever it was, I have him/her killfiled. Adding a few
attribution lines every now and then wouldn't hurt.

Sorry I didn't go back and recreate the whole thread in my response!

A flowery person redirected him to Google.

You asked for an question about some application layer protocol on a
C-programming forum.
Who is the comedian ?

Learn to ask question at the right place. You'll have better answers.

FYI, Google gives the RFC number where the POP3 protocol is defined.
(RFC 1734, RFC 1939 etc.)
