Could please explain to me why absolute links do not seem to work in
subsubdirectories?

Possibly because you are retarded. Where are the absolute links?

An absolute link would start with either a slash, "/", or the protocol
designation, "http://".

Your links, in and do neither, at least not on
the page referred to in the link-checker URL you supplied in your original
post.
