Adding information about an XSD element

Hello,
I am currently developping an XSD validation based data system (for
geodesic data).I need to speficy data format in order to validate some
fields, and add some information about them : Like specifying a C++
class member name that will be used for data binding class
generation.How can I add extra information for a particular XSD
element?Using appinfo?Id seems to be quite dirty....
