We are glad to announce the availability of EditiX 2.0. EditiX is a
cross-platform and easy to use XML / XSLT Editor and Debugger
designed to help web authors and application programmers take advantage
of the latest XML and XML-related technologies such as
XSLT, XSL-FO, DocBook, SVG or various XML schemas.
Summary of EditiX :
EditiX has an XSLT debugger and an XML Differencing support. It provides
users with an extensive range of XML functionality within
a refined IDE that guides you with intelligent entry helpers. The user
can manage remote files from FTP, WebDAV or from an archive
file like ZIP or JAR. It includes real time XPath location and syntax
error detection. Some content assistants are provided with
context syntax popup supporting DTD, XML Schema, and RelaxNG. Multiple
templates and project management are bound to editiX.
The user can apply XSL, XSL-FO or DocBook Transformation by shortcuts
and show the result in a dedicated view. EditiX includes
default templates for XML, DocBook, DTD, XHTML, XSLT, XSD, XML RelaxNG,
SVG, MathML, and XSL-FO.
EditiX is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Unix/Linux.
New in EditiX 2.0 :
A new XSLT Debugger that helps users to analysis its XSL Transformation
processing. This debugger has breakpoints for displaying
the current nodes stack, the current XPath expression nodes or the set
of variables. The user can control the transformation by
putting/removing breakpoints or running step by step. A multi-view
preview is available at each moment for visualizing for instance
an HTML document output.
This version introduces DocBook support. The user
can generate in a background mode its document
in PDF, HTML, PS... Shortkeys and project management are dedicated to
limited the user parameters.
Remote access are available for FTP, WebDAV. The
user have not to care about the way the document
is loaded when managing it inside the Editor. This
is similar for the ZIP or JAR files.
EditiX includes a new XML Differencing technology
giving the ability to compare two XML documents.
