I am happy to annouce the first release of my new fork of Ruby called
RazzleDazzle. The goal of RazzleDazzle is to implement new language
features
that I have noticed to be completely missing.

No one likes a "Fork You!", but sometimes it must be done.

I've felt very constrained in all kinds of ways by Ruby since
switching from
PHP a couple years back. PHP methods (e.g. functions) were explicitly
named
and thus never collided with one another. I've had this crazy idea
bouncing
around my head for months... "What if Ruby could be less like Ruby and
more
like PHP?"

So I've decided to go for it. The whole beast is written in PHP. And
we're
adding a few more pieces of flare in some spots. The first of note is
making
everything a hash. Sounds wacky, I know. But give it a few days and
you'll be
wishing your spoken language was all hashes, too.

Another piece of flare that we're clipping the the RazzleDazzle
suspenders is the --geoff flag when running ruby scripts with
RazzleDazzle. Adding --geoff will generate an interview of you about
your code and contributions to the Ruby community at large, record the
audio, then post it to the Ruby on Rails Podcast.

Without further ado, allow me to introduce to you to Razzle Dazzle.
