RubyGems is a package management framework for Ruby.

This gem is an update for the RubyGems software. You must have an
installation of RubyGems before this update can be applied.

See Gem for information on RubyGems (or `ri Gem`)

To upgrade to the latest RubyGems, run:

$ gem update --system # you might need to be an administrator or root

See UPGRADING.rdoc for more details and alternative instructions.

-----

If you don't have any RubyGems install, there is still the pre-gem =
approach to
getting software, doing it manually:

* Download from: https://rubygems.org/pages/download
* Unpack into a directory and cd there
* Install with: ruby setup.rb # you may need admin/root privilege

For more details and other options, see:

ruby setup.rb --help

Changes:

### 1.5.1 / 2011-02-09

Minor Enhancement:

* Added ability to do gem update --system X.Y.Z.

Bug Fixes:

* Scrub !!null YAML from 1.9.2 (install and build).
* Added missing requires for user_interaction.
* Wrote option processing tests for gem update.
* Updated upgrading doco for new gem update --system option.
* Fixed SilentUI for cygwin; try /dev/null first then fall back to NUL.
* RubyGems now enforces ruby 1.8.7 or newer.

rubygems-update version 1.5.1 has been released!

But then I pulled 1.5.1

It turns out that 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 have a bug wherein we broke `gem =
update --system`. We have written some tests (the first test for the =
feature since forever) and will be releasing 1.5.2 tomorrow.

Upgrading to 1.5.2 will require a slightly more manual update process =
than usual.

I'm sorry about this, but we're making it better!=
