Hello fellow Rubyists,

I've released Rubymine, a place where rubyists can obtain great
knowledge within time of working together. There have already been an
article and a few announcements.

http://www.rubymine.org

Features:

* blog entries
* community book creation
* pages (like wiki)
* story/articles
* weblinks
* Forums
* private message support
* RSS feeds on frontpage for current news from various sources
* personal bookmarks
* and more..

Currently Drupal is installed, and I've been tweaking it here and there
to get any annoyances out of the system. I'm still working on a CMS,
which isn't done of course or it would replace Drupal instantly.

Home of the Ruby Windows QA team
--------------------------------------------------------------
I'm proud to announce the Ruby Windows QA team.

Who's in the team? A group of hackers(code hackers) wanting to help the community.
I've a team of people who are generous enough to donate thier time
to build Ruby extensions and provide support for Microsoft Windows. This will be
a tedious job to the QA team. I thank the people below for reponding when I first asked about getting a team created.

Developers
-------------------
Kaspar Schiess
Matt Mower
Alexander Kellett
David Ross (myself)
(*there have been a couple people who emailed me, I'll get back with them ASAP)

donations of services and hardware
------------------------------------------------------------
Aredridel

This specific task won't always be easy, there will be certain code to debug. So
it would be appreciated for Windows users to test out the software when they have time, and are
available to report.

Currently there are no binary releases, mostly because I'm working on getting each person setup with compilers.

For now.. good night. Happy hacking

Thanks Mr. Ross.
Nice one-stop Ruby site.
Really like the news aggregator and the book feature.

You're welcome. Please tell me if any errors or ui design changes if
needed. Its a ready made template. I know there needs to be some
changes, and I need to fix a couple errors which I disabled the otems to
like node moderation to push not so good comments lower from reading.
Still working on it, but its getting there :)

nice site, indeed.
a more "ruby-related" theme would be great, imho of course.

Agreed, its just a simple css file I need to change, I was switching
themes trying to see which one looked better, and decided that one.
Themes are accessible in the user settings if you actually wan tto
change it. I will copy the theme and make a theme-ruby to make it look
more appropriate.

Very nice website, but there are no ruby signs at all!
I think it definitely needs more red.

Kind regards,
Ed

Are you referring to the lack of content, or the colors? I'll probably
be pasting solutions to problems I see on r-t in the "Ruby Book". I
think it would be a good quick reference to problems. I'll see about
cleaning up my documents on SOAP4R and posting those as well. Cheers,

David Ross

I refer to the colors. But, that's only my impression. I like the red
color around Ruby pages. It's like a symbol, pretty much like :red ;-)

Kind Regards,
Ed

Are the default colors acceptable now? :)

Much better! But, the "plus" arrows are still blue!
Hey, David, I've seen the site theme is GPL'd, I might borrow it if
you don't mind... ;)

Ed
