We're trying to generate an Excel file in the old Excel 97 format using
Apache's POI. I can't find any options to specify the file format.
I've skimmed through the docs, and that rather large PDF which
discusses BIFF ( need BIFF8 ) formats to a painful degree. I've also
used the POI Browser to examine an actual Excel 97-2000 file saved from
Excel. There are obvious differences. Wondering if POI can do it.
For all the effort of trying to figure this out, I'm ready to try
another library. JExcelAPI?
