Are wizard controls the best way to build a multi-step form?

Hello,

I am just about to start rewriting a site in ASP.NET, and am looking at
the main order form. This is currently written in Classic ASP, and jumps
through hoops to create a multi-step process, where the user is
presented with one logical group of controls at a time. Clicking the
Next button takes them to the next set of controls.

The ASP.NET Wizard control seems to take all of the pain out of doing
this, and would probably save a lot of time. Before I start with it
though, I would like to know if anyone has any comments on it. I have
bad experiences of some time-saving inventions before, and have ended up
scrapping what I had done and starting again, writing the whole thing
from scratch. Before I try the wizard control in earnest, I want to make
sure it is up to the job.

Any and all comments welcome. TIA
