Hi,
I've done my best to dig up an answer here, but I can't seem to find
one.
I've got IIS and ASP.NET 1.1 running on XP Pro. Its a PIV 1.8 GHz with
512MB. This is an IBM laptop. All service packs and updaters have been
applied. I've turned off my Virus scanner. I've got > 128 MB free
system memory.
It is taking me 10 seconds to load an .html page with the two words:
"simple test" in it.
This is crazy. Pages with more complexity (eg, aspx pages) are taking
20-30 seconds to load.
I've poked around a bunch and not found any answers. I've cleaned
things up in the webroot, deleted unnessary (old) folders, turned off
logging, turned off the indexing service, etc. The machine is idling
-- max 15% cpu utilization. I'm accessing IIS as
'http://localhost/test.html'.
This is a huge nightmare as this is my development environment. ANY
help would be much appreciated.
thanks!
