Automatic Startup of Visual Studio

I am running Visual Studio 6 on my computer.

Suppose I fire up an application and Visual Studio 6 finds a fault in
it, it automatically fires up and asks me to debug the fault. How
please can I stop VS6 doing this?

Correction: It is Visual C++ 6 which fires up and asks if I want to
debug the program. I don't but how do I stop it asking?

Try
This is a group about the C++ language, not about particular compilers.

Can't help with your technical problem, but if that's your real phone number
then I'd advise against posting it - from a security point of view.

Eh? What's the security problem with publishing your phone number? I'm
looking at this rather thick, yellow book, chock full of such "security"
issues (a.k.a., phone numbers). :)

(Now, from an anti-SPAM point of view is another matter...)
