I have a very basic question. How can I send site visitors who want
to join a mailing list , a message acknowledging the receipt of their
information automatically?
I checked the properties of the button, the closest thing I found was
PostbackUrl, but that would only send the message , but not take the
information.

Well, you would need to take their email address, that would be the only
important field for joining a mailing list. The send an email to that
address using the native .NET methods.

I just need a message displayed on the screen acknowledging the
receipt of them joining my guestbook.
