Base and exponent display answer

Hello everyone ! my prof gave us an advance study for our nxt lesson in C
he wanted us to crack the code for this sample output.

Base = 3
exponent =2

answer is 9

I'm new to this forum ^^, and I'm a first year college IT studnt /
