I have seen some demos of licensed static code
analyzers. But, i am looking for an opensource tool,
and hence i have posted this query.

Well... last time I read about this, some USAnian company had tried to
copyright parts of the human genome, but (astonishingly, given the
successful history of such scams) failed on grounds of prior art.
