buttoncolumn or hyperlinkcolumn

I need to be able to click on an item in one of my datagrid columns (an ID
column) and pass that ID value along to a second page which will use the ID
value to query the database for more information. A common scenario indeed
but I am still very new to this. I am not sure as to whether I should use a
Hyperlink column or a ButtonColumn? or would either one work? If either one
would work is there any advantages/disadvantages to one or the other?

any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Scott! I'm a new fan of your site. I started reading the Extensive
look at the Datgrid article you wrote there. I also plan on buying your book
on the data controls that is displayed there! Thanks for the reply and
explanation. It is VERY much appreciated. I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of
time on your site over the next few months as I really start using asp.net.
