software product development team. Our company recently closed on
$42M in a private equity financing to support the market launch of our
FDA approved Calypso® 4D Localization System and is seeking additional

Manager, Software Systems
Calypso® Medical is looking for a working Manager of Software Systems
to provide managerial and project leadership for a small team of
software engineers focused on developing medical device software for
the Calypso Medical 4D Localization System. Responsibilities include
recruitment, management and retention of experienced software
professionals; the establishment of performance criteria and goals for
these individuals; participating in the establishment, maintenance,
and documenting of software development processes for medical devices;
providing technical oversight of software methods, tools, and
techniques used in medical device software development; working with
the project manager as required integrating deliverables with other
groups to support corporate goals; and effectively interacting with
multidisciplinary team members including marketing, hardware, quality
assurance, and algorithm development teams.
This working manager will also be expected to design, develop, test,
and document assigned software system components for a real-time,
multi-threaded, multi-process, distributed software application. This
individual will participate in architectural review discussions and
implement changes as necessary; participate in technical project
reviews and application code reviews; actively assist in resolving
integration issues and assess and recommend performance enhancements
within assigned components as needed; and develop appropriate
documentation for work products in support of our FDA-compliant
development process.
Minimum requirements include 7+ years experience developing
distributed multi-threaded, multi-process, and multi-tiered
applications with 3+ years management experience; development and
management experience of numerous software products; significant
experience with the entire product life-cycle as well as with
developing prototype applications; demonstrable proficiency with
Window development platforms (multiple operating systems experience
preferred); .NET experience is highly preferred; significant
experience in developing applications with C# or C++ and Java; B.S. in
C.S. or engineering discipline.
