Certification in C/C++

Hi,

Is there a certification for C/C++ that I could take the test for.

If there isn't one (ie, like Java Programmer by Sun), is there a
course that has a test which gives you a certificate for C/C++ that is
of good reputation?

Thanks,
M

I don't know of such certification(s); but, i might be wrong.

http://www.brainbench.com will test your core skills in C/C++ at the
cost of $49(i think) and will give you a certificatin shall you pass!

I hope this helps

They beta-tested their C test here. It was terrible. I don't
think passing it would mean much.

Depends on whether it "means much" to a potential employer, or a
clc regular. Odds are that having it wouldn't hurt, regardless
of the opinion here of its worthfulness. For 50 bucks against
a job opening, what's to lose?

If the interviewer were a CLC regular, they'd probably have a dim
opinion of anyone who listed that test... :)

Dear Ben P:

" You mean you flunked it?"

No, i was asked to take the following:
1- MS-Exchange 2003 advanced administration test(1) *$50
2- Cisco network and internetwork exams(2) *$78
3- MS-2003 Server administration(2) *$58
4- Unix administration(2) *$49

Then i wanted to see what else they offer ;-)
And i passed all 7 of them with an average of 90% to get a job as a
consultant --which i did-- Programming is my hobby(11programming
languages).

Once again, sorry to disappoint you!

The Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (www.iccp.org)
has examinations for the C Language and the C++ Language. I have not taken
them and have no opinion on their value. They are part of a certification
program.

You may also want to consider the IEEE Computer Society Certified Software
Development Professional (http://www.computer.org/certification/index.htm).
I again I have no experience or opinion on this certification.
