Control the order user controls load?

I want to control the exact order in which my page's user controls load.
How would I do that? What would be the appropriate method to override,
assuming that's how to do it?

Also, I am looking for a nice chart that shows event flow for ASP.NET page
processing. Not just the events for a single base-class Page, but a page
and it's user controls. I've seen something like this before, but can't
find it now. With this I could probably answer my question.

I suggest you study the lifecycle of pages and controls.
