creating a grid of thumbnails

Hi all,

I'm writing a database to hold images with captions, keywords etc.

I want to provide a search results page which will display a thumbnail
and title for each image. I've achieved this using a simple datagrid
with templates to arrange the data within each record but obviously
this displays the results in a single column. does anyone know of a
way i can force the results to display in a grid with multiple columns
of thumbnails? preferably scaling to the width of the page.
