CSS and Menu WebControl

B

bfking

in my ASP.NET sites i use themes w/ a CSS file. in the CSS file i set
A:link, A:visited, A:hover and A. if i want a link to be different i
can set the style att of the link to override. however when using a
Menu control i can't do this. i try setting the ForeColor of a Menu
Item to a different color but it creates a local CSS class and assigns
that class to the A tag. apparently the A style is applied after the
local classes are applied.

is there anyway to tell the Menu control (and only the menu control.
i want the rest of the page to use the CSS file so i can't just remove
the theme) to not use the CSS file or anyway to remove the formatting
from those links so the control can format the rendered html?

thanks in advance for any help you can provide
