Cygwin IDLE has no menu bar

I just wondered whether anyone has seen this problem and fixed it. An
IDLE with no menu bar isn't much use ...

Python 2.4.1 (#1, May 27 2005, 18:02:40)

It's not fixed but the workaround is "idle -n"
