datagrid-changing data formatting expression at runtime

I'd like to change the ''data formatting expreession" that is linked to a
column via the 'Property Builder' for the data grid. Based on the row; I'd
like to change the format (decimal places) of the numbers in my grid. I've
been trying the ItemDataBound event, but w/o success. Thanks.
