datagrid hyperlinks

hey all,

i have a datagrid (with pagination and sorting ) that uses the hyperlink
control to allow the user to select a record from the datagrid.

The problem is when i select, let's say the 4th record in the datagrid,view
the record and come back to the datagrid, then page to another page the
hyperlink (4th record) is shown as already viewed, when in fact it wasn't.

Any ideas?
