datagrid not updating kinda

hey all,
i have a datagrid with inline editing and an update panel as the container.
when i update the row everything looks correct. if i select the same page
from my favorites list it shows the old value and if i click edit it has the
new value in it. what is going on? my first guess would be cache but i'm not
sure.
