Does XPath text() return CDATA SECTION?

If I have the following XML file,

<test><![CDATA[text]]></test>

does /*/text() returns "text"?

does /*/text() returns "text"?

Yes. From the point of view of the XPath data model, the
document is identical to <test>text</test>.
