Downloading File from the Folder on Remote server

hi,
I am creating a new website. In that i am downloading an exe file into my system from the folder which is placed on the server........

while i am downloading the file from the folder placed on the server i got the message as "remote server return error 404-not return".......like that...

any idea regarding this problem...
