embedding a gridview in an e-mail

Hi all,

I know how to export a gridview toa word/excel file, but I wonder
how easy is it to embed the gridview in an e-mail using html format.

Two options off the top of my head:
Call the page from the email engine and strip off all HTML but the grid view
Output the gridview HTML into a stream and stream into the email
