Hi Mukesh,

From your description, you're using the enterprise library 3.1 and ASP.NET
ajax components in your ASP.NET web application and it works well in
development machine ,but fails with CAS error on a deployment server
configured as Medium trust level, correct?

Based on my understanding, the Medium Trust level contains very limited CAS
permissions, you can check the "web_mediumtrust.config" file under the .NET
2.0 framework/config folder and the main permissionset of ASP.NET hosting
is the "ASP.Net" one, I've pasted the one below:

===================
<PermissionSet
class="NamedPermissionSet"
version="1"
Name="ASP.Net">
<IPermission
class="AspNetHostingPermission"
version="1"
Level="Medium"
/>
<IPermission
class="DnsPermission"
version="1"
Unrestricted="true"
/>
<IPermission
class="EnvironmentPermission"
version="1"
Read="TEMP;TMP;USERNAME;OS;COMPUTERNAME"
/>
<IPermission
class="FileIOPermission"
version="1"
Read="$AppDir$"
Write="$AppDir$"
Append="$AppDir$"
PathDiscovery="$AppDir$"
/>
<IPermission
class="IsolatedStorageFilePermission"
version="1"
Allowed="AssemblyIsolationByUser"
UserQuota="9223372036854775807"
/>
<IPermission
class="PrintingPermission"
version="1"
Level="DefaultPrinting"
/>
<IPermission
class="SecurityPermission"
version="1"
Flags="Assertion, Execution,
ControlThread, ControlPrincipal, RemotingConfiguration"
/>
<IPermission
class="SmtpPermission"
version="1"
Access="Connect"
/>
<IPermission
class="SqlClientPermission"
version="1"
Unrestricted="true"
/>
<IPermission
class="WebPermission"
version="1">
<ConnectAccess>
<URI uri="$OriginHost$"/>
</ConnectAccess>
</IPermission>
</PermissionSet>
==========================

You can compare it with the minimum permissionset you've calculated from
your web application's assemblies(referenced assemblies).

Also, based on the error message and callstack y ou provided, the exact
exception point is at loading the
"Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Configuration.Design" assembly. So
you can first focus on this assemby's permission request and check the
requested minimum permissioset among the above Medium trust level policy to
see whether there is anyone violate the policy setting.

Sincerely,

Steven Cheng
