You shouldn't update the built-in RubyGems, anyway.

In case you want to break stuff:

gem update --system

Though the folk I have met,
(Ah, how soon!) they forget
When I've moved on to some other place,
There may be one or two,
When I've played and passed through,
Who'll remember my song or my face.

You *did* read the prominent message on rubygems.org and Rubygem's
release notes, did you?

--------------------------------------
Ruby 1.9+ users should wait to upgrade
