Software Engineer – Skype Manager/ Front End

Key Responsibilities
Work in an agile development environment with the Product Managers on
a daily basis to scope, develop, and deliver world class software
solutions to support business requirements
Play an active role in the design, development, and unit testing of
production software
Collaborate with and assist the Product Managers to develop and
execute release planning
Plan and estimate work effort and help to continuously improve the
agile development process
Build efficient and reusable services that can scale to support large
numbers of users building on top of scalable infrastructure
Participate and contribute to architecture meetings for defining how
back-end systems will work in large web environments
Expertise/Experience
Strong experience (3-10 years) in following technologies, tools and
frameworks: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, HTTP, AJAX, MVC framework,
jQuery, Object Oriented.
Excellent understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues.
Good knowledge in HTML templating and front-end web technologies.
Ability to write some PHP 5 code or willing to learn PHP
General understanding of web servers and their configuration.
General understanding of version control (SVN).
Ability to use graphic design software for preparation of web content.
Ability to work as a team member.
Other web related disciplines and previous experience developing web
applications backend a plus.
You prefer short deadlines and measurable work-units, seeing your code
ship makes you tick
Qualifications
Ideally a BSc degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
Masters degree a plus
Experience in agile development practice a plus
