FXRuby's FXCursor broken on Windows?

I'm trying to use FXRuby's FXCursor with no success. The call is
successful, but there isn't any cursor change. This is using the
pre-defined cursors.
Anybody have a small example and can verify it works?

Works fine for me on Windows.

Simply:

app.beginWaitCursor
