Get the field name of an Excel table

M

Mario

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to get or to search for a field name ( You can
assign e.g. A1 a field name) in an Excel table by using the
Spreadsheet::parseExcel module. Does anybody know a way to handle
this!?

Thanks a lot.

Assuming your platform is Windows, then the very best way /I/ have found
to deal with Excel (or any other Office container object) is through
Win32::OLE under ActiveState Perl.

If your platform is NOT Windows, then I'll leave the question to someone
else. I've seen some articles on that sort of thing, but only enough to
know it's possible to do and not exactly how it's done.

There are plenty of Win32::OLE examples in the "Google database" dealing
with this issue... I'd search on "Win32::OLE Excel" and see what you
come up with.
