Google Mini and Ruby?

Does anyone have experience in hooking Ruby
to their very own GoogleBot?

I'm considering a Google Mini to handle an
internal "deep" site search for a Soks Wiki.

The FAQs make it sound like the search request
is easy enough, but I am currently puzzling about
two things:

1. How are search _results_ handled? (Google-
rendered or does it have a SOAP interface
and render it myself.)

2. Will it index .textile files?

[reposted to ruby-talk because I suspect it didn't make
it past the comp.lang.ruby gateway.]

Nevermind: Upon a deeper read of the features lists,
these questions are answered:

1. They give you access to the raw XML feed, an
XSLT, or you can use a wizard to tweak the
deftault Google look and feel. (No mention of
a web API.)

2. Indexing is purely web-based and because Soks/WEBrick
serves up the textile as HTML, this is an irrelevant
question.
