Gridview in a Gridview

I know a gridview can be put in a gridview, however, i'd like a gridview of
details on on the selected row

so that (example) list of all states in main gridview. then on selected row
or indexchanged show a gridview for all towns/cities fro that state, but only
for the selected row.
Anyone know how to do this?
