Help, can't see asp vbscribt in Visual Studio .NET

Sunshine

I upgraded to Visual Studio .NET from Visual InterDev. While my company is
moving towards aspx I sill have to maintain classic asp pages. When I open
the asp pages in .NET, I can't see the script (VB). If I copy the pages to
my desktop, the script is there. Is it a permissions problem or a setting
in .NET?

Thanks for your help,
Sunshine

Hi SunShine,

Not sure whether you've try Bruce's suggest that switch the ASP page into
HtmlView to have a look. Generally when we editing the page(no matter
asp.net or asp page) in HtmlView , all the source code or html template
will be displayed to us. So please have a check to confirm this. If you
still have problems view the script in asp file please feel free to let us
know. In addition, here is an tech article in msdn dicussing on dev ASP
page in VS.NET:

#Lab 3: ASP vs. ASP.NET
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dv_vstechart/html/vstchexpvsnetlab3.
asp?frame=true#vstchexpvsnetlab3_topic3

Hope also helps. Thanks.

Ok, I guess I should have explained myself a little better. In HTML view, I
can see the html fine but no script if visible. If I copy the page to my
desktop and open it in .NET, I can see the script as well as the html. I'm
wondering if it has something to do with permissions or if it's a setting in
..NET.

Thanks for your response Steven...

Hi Sunshine,

Really sounds strange since the default setting in the VS.NET IDE should
has nothing to do with view script code in asp file. Have you tried create
some other asp page contains some simple script code and view in this
project? Or try creating a new web project and do the same test?
Also, you can provide the asp file so that we have a test on our side to
see whether it is specified to the certain asp file. Thanks.
