Help choosing color scheme

N

I'm designing a website for selling educational toys and having a bit
of trouble deciding on a color scheme. I also am redesigning the logo
so I can change the colors on the logo to suit the scheme, or
vise-versa. Any ideas on what might look good for an educational toy
store geared toward parents and teachers, but one that will also catch
children's eyes as well?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Have a look at the colours of the toys themselves. I'm guessing a lot
of primary colours. (depending on age of course, the younger the kids,
the more primary colours you'll see in their toys)

When I was a child, I preferred the chromatic trinity of chartreuse,
vermilion, and magenta on all things but peanut butter and jelly
sandwiches. Of course I was psychotic, so you may need to add a little
orange to alleviate the stigma of the pastels.

(Seriously, bright red, blue, and yellow would probably be the 3 top
choices.)

Color Blender is a very handy site for finding ranges of matching colors.

Probably not. One sign is that after reading some of my own messages
here, I think "Who the hell wrote that crap?" in my more lucid moments.

You know what I think that all the time :)) and it matters not a whit if
I'm lucid ;-)

Ya know, that's it. That's the problem. We both think too much. This
is a definite indicator that an increase in alcoholic consumption would
be much to our mutual benefit. Sure, it may not reduce the quantity of
thought-elements compared to what is produced in the doldrums of
sobriety, but the thoughts themselves tend to be confidence-builders
which, of course, leads to a greater high relative to one's degree of
stability.

Well, I would tend to believe that the stores and toy manufactures
have truly answered this question for you. Just look at the product
packaging. Bright , largely primary colors.

Muting these colors somewhat for the textual areas will
aid the parents, in not having their eyes burned out, but IMHO
thats the answer

Don't think my liver would agree with that, but the rest of the body
concurs.

And the quality of those thoughts is definitely improved by the lubrication
that comes with the vino.
