Too late!
Well Thomas didn't report you but I'm more selfish than him when it
comes to my degrees. So I just sent an e-Mail to (e-mail address removed)
who might be very interested.
Chiron...
They may have gotten more mail than they really wanted. I wrote

Subject: Helping students with course work
Dear Professor Ravi:
Do you have guidelines/preferences/policies concerning outside
help for students enrolled in your comp sci courses? If so, would
you consider adding them (in HTML format, please) to your website
so that requests like:
news://news.qwest.net:119/
[email protected]
Can be properly handled by the programming community. The
regulars on normally try to avoid doing
students' homework for them; but some published guidelines might
be of help to all concerned.
Side question: Are you and your TAs readily available to students?

My intent was not to create grief for aj; but to encourage this
faculty to realize that their ivory tower is parked in the middle
of the real world, with which at least their students interact.
Perhaps I expect too much of the teaching community; but I /do/
expect them to provide this kind of guidance to (at least)
students. Absent this guidance, I see little difference between
going to the library and going to the Internet for
additional/helpful information.
I'm also aware that some "teachers" prefer not to be "bothered"
with students on a one-to-one basis and need encouragement to
become more involved.

When their web site designer goes a-browsing, may (s)he only find
pages containing links to PDF files!
