Help with Visual Studio configuration

Hey, I'm a beginner with Visual Studio and C++, so I've the following
problem :

when I run a program with Debug-Start without debugging command, I
can't see the output, so I have to run it directly from the MS-DOS
prompt.
I have read about a Visual Studio IDE configuration so that the
console window doesn't simply disappear when the program has finished
running, but it seems to be a default configuration and is not
explained how to change it.

Help me, please!!!
Thanks

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this type of problem, but I
don't know how to solve it.

The proper place is a Visual Studio group, how about
or

These groups can be found on the news://news.microsoft.com server or on
http://groups.google.com if your ISP doesn't carry them.
