Hotmail and Perl

Hello all,

I heard that hotmail using perl/cgi, but do anyone know that what
version of perl that hotmail using? If hotmail using per/cgi, Why don't
they use Asp.Net?

It seems Hotmail has ceased all development on non-Microsoft components
as of the beginning of 2005.

I think they do use their .net framework. Ever heard of marketing :)
Perl could exist perfectly within .net, though. I think there is no
reliable way to find out whether Hotmail uses Perl (and which version).

The Hotmail service is actually ran by many, many computers:

They all appear to run Microsoft-IIS/6.0 on Windows Server 2003.
