How about C++Test?

Hi, all

Just a curious question on how C++Test really do. Parasoft claims that
C++Test's static analysis feature can check code against over 320
industry-standard coding rules. Does it give out too many false
negatives?

Thanks!

I am just wondering, Andy, why don't you simply ask Parasoft? I am
sure they have testimonials from their customers you can read. No,
I don't mean just go to their web site. Really *ask* them. Talk to
customer support or a salesperson. They know their product better
than anybody else. Or do you not trust their word?

Generally, I think the company who makes a product will only release
positive testamonials. Thus the data sample is not really
characteristic of the real population. I personally understand why
Andy might post something here. Unfortunately, I don't have any
experience with C++Test, so I can't help Andy.

Just looking at their site though, I see they allow you to try it free
for a while. Andy, I'd recommend you do this. Then you can see how
well it fits your needs. Yes, other people can give their opinions --
and they are helpful if you can't try the product yourself. However,
in this case you can.

Well, I have tried to download it . But I found that the *FREE TRIAL*
is for Insure++. There is not C++Test for evaluation download.
