How do I get a bitmap from the theme?

Hi David,

A theme can consist of a combination of a css file and one or many skin
files to control how ASP.NET server controls are rendered. A skin file
looks a bit like ASP.NET WebForm in that they contain server control
definitions and are used to alter the visual appearance of ASP.NET
elements.

For a control, whether a theme is used or which theme is used is totally
transparent, the control has some additional properties set using the skin
file. For example, if your control have a BackgroundImageUrl property and
it's been set in the applied skin, you will get this by reading the
property.

Since your question is rather brief, I'm not sure if I fully understood
your question. Please feel free to reply here if anything is unclear.

Sincerely,
Walter Wang ([email protected], remove 'online.')

Hi David,

Based on my understanding, those images are used by the CSS or Skin of the
theme. If your control needs 4 bitmaps for different states, I believe you
will need 4 properties to assign these 4 bitmaps to your control. For your
control, you will just access the properties to get the bitmaps.
