How long it takes for SCJP prep

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and I am new to Java concepts as well. I know the basics of Java but not in depth. So, how long would it take for a candidate like me to prepare for SCJP exam. Please tell in number of hours. By the way please suggest some books and internet materials for SCJP exam. Thanks in advance
