how to check if dom has been modified

Hi,
Is there any way (using javascript) to check if the DOM has been
modified ? I am asking for a cleaner way rather than ways like
counting the number of elements in DOM at regular intervals. I have
heard that an `onreadystatechange` event. Will it help ?

Hi, I am also facing a similar problem. As you mentioned, IE doesn't
have support mutation events. But my application needs to support IE..
Is there any workaround to get notified whenever the DOM is changed
