Hello,

I have found a vb script to create a new asp.net site under iis 6 but it is
missing a part to help setting the version of .NET to use.
How to do this ?

Thanks for answer.

Create a batch file and run :

aspnet_regiis -sn W3SVC/1/ROOT/YourAppVirtualPath

from the ASP.NET 2.0 directory, usually :

%WINDIR%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727

W3SVC/1/ROOT/AppVirtualPath assumes a default website configuration.

If you're installing to a non-default "default website", modify the path accordingly.

For example :

aspnet_regiis -sn W3SVC/2/ROOT/AppVirtualPath

Thanks, but why th 2 in aspnet_regiis -sn W3SVC/2/ROOT/AppVirtualPath ?
What if others sites are already installed ?

That was only an example.

You have to know what the naming scheme is,
for the server you're installing your app in.

To know that, you have to parse the outcome of :

aspnet_regiis -lk
