Hi,
I am trying to use Jacob, Tomcat and openning Excel files on client
site.
Both the server and client have "excel.application".
I use the code below and can only get the server side Excel object.
" protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException
{
ActiveXComponent x1 = new ActiveXComponent
("Excel.Application");
Object xlo = x1.getObject();
"
How can I get the client site Excel object so I can open Excel file
with Excel on client side?
I post this article in Jacob help group. But haven't got answer. I
tried JExcelAPI that can only read Excel data but cannot open Excel
file using Excel.Application. Jakarta POI seems to be the same as
JExcelAPI. So Jacob seems to be the best choice.
Any idea will be appreciated.
