How troubleshoot detailsview edit?

I have a master/details scenario (gridview/detailsview). Everything selects
fine. When I goto edit the details view and click 'Update' the data doesn't
update and I don't get any visual errors. It calls a stored proc and I put a
breakpoint in it but it never got there. Any ideas how I can debug this?

The problem with the updating was that I didn't have a DataKeyNames for the
detailsview.
