Hyperlinkcolumn alternative

Hi, apologies first for my poor use of terminology!

I have a hyperlinkcolumn in a datagrid that I can use to pass info to
another page.. however I would prefer that the information be passed 'in
the background' a la some form button with post request. What's the
easiest way to create such a button like that or some equivalent
functionality on each row of the datagrid?
