I need some cleanings tips and advice.

Me and my buddy made a website called www.CleaningTips.com, its
basically a free forum and free blog driven web site dedicated as a
source people can goto to find out how to clean and remove stains from
pretty much anything. Problem is, as of yet, you couldn't find out how
to clean anything right now cause the site is new and no one has found
it yet.

We don't know enough about cleaning and tips and tricks to really fill
the site. Were looking to get more useful content so that the website
eventually shows up in search results.

Okay, I've had enough. If Google can't control these lamers, I have no
choice but to filter them out.

My apologies to any genuine, clueful C programmers who post through a
gmail account.

(I'll score up regular contributors here who use gmail as and when I
notice.)

By not responding to abuse reports, Google attracts abusive users and
does a disservice to their genuine users. As far as I'm concerned,
comp.lang.c is now a gmail-free zone (except as noted above).

Surely not Google, nor any other of the companies responsible
for destroying the internet as we knew it.

I receive approx 99% spam in my mail account, and around 1
spam message every 2-3 minutes. This has already destroyed
email as we know it as a usable medium.

Newsgroups will go the same way since
1) Many ISP do not carry the newsgroups any more. For instance
TELE2 on France will not carry any newsgroups.
2) Spam centers like Google and other that accept anonymous
free accounts without any veryfications allow spammers
to flood newsgroups with any kind of rubbish.

I sent many complaints to the abuse account of Google
but my complaints probably were filtered away by the spam filter...

Indeed. But their legitimate users might care enough (if they start to
be denied Usenet help because of "guilt by association", so to speak)
that they take the trouble to shift to a responsible news provider.

You might add a note about this to your signature. Said legitimate
users are unlikely to make the connection between your failure to
respond and their choice of news provider on their own.

Usenet groups have rules and regulations that you violated.
Your gmail account has rules and regulations that you violated.

Here's my tip for cleaning ... clean up the mess you just made by
posting spam to every usenet group you could spell and apologize
for being a spammer.

Then, if you want to promote your enterprise, use google to find
those group rules, read them, and follow them.

Spam serves one vital purpose.
It reminds everyone that it costs you time and money if people communicate
with you. It has allowed us to cut bureaucracy at Leeds, because mass
mailings now have to be justified by high authority.

AFAIK, 99% of the spam messages are filtered out from usenet. What you
see is the rest. Yes, Google's 'Report this message' link is most
probably a placebo.

I guess it's not really Googles fault (although they have the
technological means to provide better spam protection). Abuse is
implicit in the usenet design:
